Dr. Mathew Clarke is an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Regina Area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority with a special interest in Pediatric Orthopaedics. He is fully certified as a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal College
of Surgeons of Canada.

PERSONAL HISTORY

Dr. Clarke grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, just down the highway from Regina. He pursued his Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, graduating in 2014. He then completed his MD in 2018 from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, where he was proudly part of the Regina cohort.

Following medical school, Dr. Clarke moved to Edmonton, Alberta, to undertake his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alberta. It was during his time in Edmonton that he discovered his passion for Pediatric Orthopedics. After completing his residency in 2023, Dr. Clarke spent an additional year at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he completed a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery fellowship.

Throughout his training, Dr. Clarke was eager to return to his prairie roots. When the opportunity arose to come back to Saskatchewan and start his practice in Regina, he was thrilled to accept, ready to serve the children and families of his home province.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Clarke enjoys a few favorite pastimes. He can often be found relaxing with a cup of coffee and his snoozy Puggle, Sam, curled up on his lap. He also loves working on his golf game at local courses. Cooking is another of his passions, and he’s well-known for his Sunday suppers, where he enjoys preparing and sharing delicious meals with family and friends.
